Frequently Asked Questions

Below are a list of Frequently Asked Questions about Camp: Destination. Please direct additional questions and/or concerns to info@campdestination.org or (602)-456-0161.

Camp: Destination offers programming for those entering Kindergarten - 12th Grade for the upcoming school year. All campers must be entering Kindergarten and at least five (5) years of age by August 31st of the Summer Camp Year.

Camp: Destination Programming runs from 8:45AM - 3:15PM, with Extended Care options included for additional fees. Beforecare runs from 7:30AM - 8:45AM, and Aftercare runs from 3:15PM - 5:00PM.

Your camper should wear cool, comfortable clothing as well as in closed toed shoes so they can participate safely in all activities.

Camp: Destination maintains a closed campus, and please give our front office a call at (602) 456-0161 to arrange pick up for your camper if it falls outside of normal camp hours.

Due to the nature of our schedule, the long-term structure of our programs, and our community-based philosophy, Camp: Destination does not offer Daily Enrollment. All enrollment must be on a week-to-week basis, with campers able to enroll for a minimum of 1 Week, and a maximum of all 8 Weeks.

Lunch and/or Snack are not provided by Camp: Destination, and must be brought from home each day that a camper is enrolled at Camp: Destination.

At Camp: Destination, we pride ourselves on building community & making the most of each moment which we have together within our program - meaning that programming is happening from the moment campers come through our gates, to the moment that campers head home! Campers start the day with all-camp Morning Games, followed by our signature "Choices," where campers choose the programs which they want to participate in - ranging from Bike Chain Art, to Build Your Own MarioKart, to Hot Sauce Making, and so much more! Campers are required to remain in their choices throughout the entire week, and cannot switch between programs - as programs are often week-long, project experiences which we see through from beginning to end!

We have two sets of choices, with a snack in between, and lunch that follows. After lunch, campers are broken into their camp groups (entering Kindergarten - 2nd Grade, entering 3rd - 5th Grade, entering 6th - 9th Grade), and travel through various rotations, including, but not limited to, Sports, Art, Group Time, Team-Building, Jiu-Jitsu, and so much more! After rotations, campers will reunite as a whole camp for our signature, end-of-day programs, before being picked up for the day.

Our foremost vision is that each camper leaves each day with memories, excitement, and experiences which all revolve around fun. Through our jam-packed schedule, we focus on connections, relationship-building, & the participation of every member within a wider, Camp: Destination Community - providing every camper with a space & experience to be fully, authentically, and proudly themselves!

Other than the Excursion, Camp: Destination does not offer Field Trips. We pride ourselves upon being an entirely in-house program, fostering our community just based on the staff & campers who attend Camp: Destination each year. With this in mind, this does not mean we are a "daycare" style program where our staff supervise campers - we are immersed in camp life from the moment that camp starts, until the moment the day is over, and actively facilitating the programs, experiences, & excitement which creates the Camp: Destination Magic each summer!

A Lock-In is like a sleepover, but better - because the sleepover is at camp! The Lock-In is open for campers entering 3rd Grade & up, and provides an opportunity for campers to experience special, overnight programming while at Camp: Destination.

Campers will arrive to the Lock-In & enjoy a Pizza Dinner, provided by Camp: Destination, followed by programming specific to the Lock-In & its theme. Campers will then join for a movie, before heading to bed for the night, and waking up the next morning, right at camp! Campers will enjoy breakfast provided by Camp: Destination, followed by jumping right into the next camp day.

Campers who do not wish to sleep over at the Lock-In are more than welcome to attend Evening Programming & be picked up early, before being dropped off again to rejoin the next camp day.

The Excursion is a 2-Day, Field Trip Marathon for campers entering 6th Grade & up. Across the two days of the Excursion, campers will visit 3 Field Trip Destinations, including one community-service based project, as well as participate in an exclusive Lock-In for eldest campers only.

The trip is designed to celebrate & continue to foster the community developed in the oldest camp groups, and provide special opportunities for older campers as they mature throughout the Camp: Destination Program. Seats are limited based on transportation & ticketing availability.

A 10% Sibling Discount is provided for siblings who live in the same household and are listed under the same billing email.

A $50 Referral Discount Per Camper is provided when a brand-new Camp: Destination Family lists a referring family on their Camp: Destination Registration Form. Both the referring family & the referred family receive the discount, multiplied for each new camper enrolled!

Scholarship availability is limited. Any scholarship & funding opportunities which arise are immediately communicated to the community-at-large to save on Camp: Destination Fees & Costs.

Camp: Destination prides itself on being the space which any kid would want for their summer - somewhere that they are able to have fun, try new things, build incredible experiences, & create fantastic memories, all whilst simultaneously fostering rich, meaningful friendships, being invested in by counselors who care deeply about the Camp: Destination Experience, and finding their place within a wider community.

At Camp: Destination, we are committed to being a champion for each one of our campers & their experience, and ensuring that summer is the peak of their year. We celebrate our campers for who they are & what makes them incredible through building relationships based on trust, investment, & a commitment to leaving a positive mark upon our campers' lives.

We truly pride ourselves upon ensuring each camper leaves everyday with even more enthusiasm to return the next, and making sure that our 8 weeks flies by through a philosophy of fun. We hope to share this love & commitment with your campers for countless summers to come!
