For the Leader in Everyone!
Our Leader-in-Training (LIT) program is for kids entering 10th - 12th Grade. Designed with the idea of leadership in mind, our LITs serve as the backbone of our community, working with our campers, learning from our counselors, and helping to create incredible programs which elevate camp to the next level!
In addition to their presence in the daily scene at Camp: Destination, LITs participate in separate workshops, trainings, and activities to foster a sense of community amongst their peers, as well as prepare them for future leadership positions at school, summer camps, and beyond!
While our LITs do play an important role in the function of the camp community, we don't want them to miss out on the fun, either! LITs get to participate in our Lock-Ins & Excursion Trip, and work alongside the LIT Program Director to create exciting and meaningful opportunities for them and their peers.
Our LIT Program is open and inclusive to all, regardless of prior attendance at Camp: Destination. With that being said, we ask that any first-year LITs reach out to info@campdestination.org to touch base with the LIT Program Director and learn more about what their experience as an LIT will be all about.
Through fostering community, understanding, leadership, and creativity, we hope to provide a sense of belonging, purpose, and importance for all LITs who join our program!
