for the leader in everyone!

eligible for those entering 10th - 12th grade

What is a Leader? Our Leader-in-Training Program (affectionately dubbed, the "L.I.T. Program"), is designed for High School Aged Campers to learn & develop leadership skills. Working alongside our staff & playing an active role in contributing to camp life, L.I.T.'s learn about the value & importance of leadership, and how to harness the strengths which they bring to the table for the rest of their lives!

L.I.T.'s serve as a positive, peer role model to our campers, and work with campers of all ages to help contribute to their experience at Camp: Destination.

Additionally, our L.I.T.'s working alongside our staff & the Leadership Team to develop programs, lead activities, & create positive community & camp culture - all skills which are transferrable to so many other facets of life!

While L.I.T.'s do play an important role in the function of our camp community - they don't miss out on the fun either! L.I.T.'s participate in workshops, team-building experiences, & programming as a camp group, as well as get to experience our Lock-In & Excursion Events. We hope that the L.I.T. Program provides relationships for our campers which can last a lifetime!

The L.I.T. Program is a meaningful, volunteer experience, designed through the lens of working with children & creating community. We aim to provide hands-on experiences developing leadership skills which transfer to a variety of personal & professional settings, which L.I.T.'s can benefit from for the rest of their lives.
